The sun’s UV rays put up a tough fight when it comes to our delicate eyes, so we’re here to help you make the right choice when picking your defence.
Pick your protection
Ding-ding! Summer is here and the battle is on. Here’s your regular reminder that UV rays are bad, bad news for your precious eyes — regardless of the season, actually. But that won’t happen on our watch. We understand it’s easy to get carried away and forget about sun protection, so we’ve got five ways you can wear yours in style. No, you’re welcome.
Classic sunglasses
If you’ve got lazer sharp vision, keep it easy breezy and jump straight into our sunglasses collection. Our lenses offer 100% protection from UV-A and UV-B rays, plus category three sun glare protection — perfect for everyday wear.
Prescription sunglasses
Got a single vision or varifocal prescription? Get yourself prescription sunglasses. Perfect for when driving, or afternoons spent reading in the sun — be it a book or a cocktail menu, no judgement here.
Clip-ons
If carrying prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses is gonna weigh you down, go lite with our Clip-ons. React to those sun rays by switching-on 100% UV protection in one slick clip.
Polarised Sunglasses
Like the great outdoors, huh? Our Polarised Lenses are for the adventurers amongst us, eliminating especially harsh sun glare most noticeable when near open water, snow or wet roads.
Ace & Tate Contacts
Although our daily Contacts do offer UV protection, they won’t protect the whole surface of your eye or help with sun glare. So stick your fave pair of sunglasses on top, to keep your eyes protected, at ease — and look darn fresh.
Why defend your eyes?
UV-A and UV-B light rays travel in high frequency wavelengths, found in the invisible (ultraviolet) light spectrum. They’re so powerful that, unless stopped, they can penetrate the front section of your eye (the cornea) and travel further back to potentially damage the delicate retina. Not cool.
